History
of MV Equipment
On October 1, 2006 a new
company was formed.
This new company, MV Equipment, was formed by
the merger of two long time companies.
McArthur Implement of Burlington, Colorado
and Valley Implement Company in Sterling and
Holyoke, Colorado, joined forces to build a company
with strong goals and an insight into the future.
McArthur Implement started as a John Deere dealer in
1938 in
Flagler,
Colorado.
The dealership moved to Burlington in 1942.
The business was started by Harold McArthur
who held the John Deere contract for 58 years.
Jerry McArthur purchased the business in
January of 1996.
Valley Implement Company started out in 1976 in
Sterling,
Colorado as a John Deere dealer.
Robert J. Kircher and Calvin L. West are the
stockholders.
Many changes have taken place over the years.
A second location in
Holyoke,
Colorado was acquired in 2001.
MV Equipment purchased L&L Implement Co., INC on
February 1, 2007.
This had been a long established company with
locations in Wray and Yuma Colorado.
This addition made a total of five locations
in Eastern Colorado for MV Equipment.
MV Equipment is a John Deere dealer handling
agricultural equipment, consumer products, light
industrial and commercial spraying equipment.
These five locations cover eight counties in
Northeastern Colorado and three counties in Western
Nebraska.
MV Equipment is very community minded and is
continually giving support in local civic
organizations in the communities that it serves.
Special attention is given each year to
community youth groups with emphasis to local FFA
and 4-H groups.
